NEWS FROM CHICOUTIMI

Saint Joseph’s Oratory Chapel in the Hôtel-Dieu de Chicoutimi monastery is now listed in the register of Quebec’s cultural heritage. The news, announced recently by the Minister of Culture and Communications, comes four years after a request by the community.

The heritage status of the chapel built in the 1940s is due to its architecture and interior design that are typical of the religious art produced in Quebec at the time.
