Another honour for the Monastère

The architecture firm Bisson + Castonguay won the “Exhibit” prize in the Grands Prix du Design contest on February 15. Its design of the Musée du Monastère des Augustines successfully brings out the pure beauty of these historic spaces and optimizes the presentation of the permanent exhibit. Its reinterpretation of Quebec society at different periods and its attention to conserving the place’s spirit touched the jury, who took into consideration the intentional simplicity melding with the building’s rich history. The contest showcases the talent of Quebec-based designers and architects.
