At their General Chapter on September 16, 2014, the Augustinian Sisters of the Mercy of Jesus elected Sr. Lise Tanguay, A.M.J. (2nd from the left on the photo), as Superior General of the Fédération des Monastères. She succeeds Sr. Hélène Marquis, A.M.J., who had reached the end of her second mandate. Until the election, Sr. Tanguay was Superior of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec monastery and Councillor General.

To assist Sr. Tanguay, as Assistant General and Treasurer, the Augustinian Sisters elected Sr. Sylvie Morin, A.M.J. (on the left), who had thus far been Superior of the Roberval monastery. They also elected Sr. Claudette Larouche, A.M.J. (2nd from the right), of the Dolbeau monastery and Sr. Berthe Lemay, A.M.J. (on the right), of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec monastery to serve as Councillors General.

The Board of Directors and the Executive of the Fiducie du patrimoine culturel des Augustines would like to congratulate these four Augustinian Sisters who are taking on major responsibilities. They would also like to take the opportunity to thank Sr. Hélène Marquis, A.M.J., for the confidence she placed in them and her invaluable assistance over the past few years.
